mendeleev cmc: the story behind the name

My background is as an educator in chemistry and science, I have always been intrigued and inspired by the story of Dmitri Mendeleev. In the late 1800s, Mendeleev did something revolutionary when mapping out the known elements to create the Periodic Table.  His true genius wasn't just in organising what already existed—it was in his willingness to leave deliberate, empty gaps.

He predicted that elements yet undiscovered would eventually fill these spaces, and even suggested some of the properties they would have. He looked at the emptiness not as a flaw, but as a space of defined potential.

In a world that often demands constant noise, rapid answers, and immediate action, we rarely afford ourselves the luxury of these empty spaces. We rush to fill the canvas. But it is often within the undetected gaps—the pauses between roles, the transitions in life and leadership, or the quiet spaces in our own thinking—where the impactful answers are waiting to be discovered.
